Wedding Day

What an amazing day! So many stories to tell and pictures to share and we will share them…just enjoying some much needed time off! We celebrated our big night at the Vintage Estate in my hometown of Yountville and with the help of our wedding planner Mindy Weiss and the people are the Estate (also the Villagio Inn & Spa), everything was amazing! We hope everyone is well and doing great!

So many wonderful thoughts for the new bride and groom. May your marriage be wonderful, filled with understanding and communication. And remember-sometimes it IS the little things that matter.

  13. Yay for a Greek Honeymoon!

Do stay out of the way of the ‘interactive armed street theatre’ that is ongoing in Athens, Mr. and Mrs. … it’s not the best for the romantic mood.

LDG, I’m sure I’m not the first to show this to you, but of course I thought of you and your lovely family immediately!

    How adorable!

actually… you were first. That’s a lot of fun there! The human is using the big and long saibashi kitchen chopsticks, maybe to keep the Persian from spearing itself? Poor little pug-face, though…

    Thank you!

  16. @Adam Housley

    Ah… ‘Santorini’

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santorini

You picked a great spot for the honeymoon!

  17. doggiesallover Says:

You’re welcome, LDG. And thank you for the teminology!
There were comments from people who thought the kitty was being abused, but I couldn’t see it, and I’m usually the first one to shout it out! I thought it looked like a pretty even match!

  18. @doggies

Food games, like using a mouse-hole box to hide a bit of food (a curiousity game; the cat smells it and finds which hole has the food bit) and serving games (a motion game; the cat has to pick the bit of food off of something; safer by far with a long but not pointy implement!) are both big parts of keeping away cat boredom.

The only abuse I could possible see in that video was the extrodinarily mean-spiritedness (or just cluelessness) of the human who bred such a severely pug’ed cat… a life of respiratory misery and by far shorter lifespan than a doll-face or fox-face (the natural face shapes of cats)… but like those responsible for “toy” dogs and such, it seems that humans are too selfish to think of the results of their “breeding for cuteness” habit.

You can probably guess that I’m not overly fond of many pet breeders…

Anyway, back to topic we go.

  19. doggiesallover Says:

Huh. I answ’d you yesterday and agreed w/you. Same w/the doggies. It’s been proven that many times breeding takes away from the best innate traits of an animal.
But…back to the discussion on the blog.
    Adam, Adam! Wherefore art thou?

  20. Adam Housley Says:

Doggies…..on my honeymoon! AND…sadly…one of our hotels had no internet and thus…no connections. 🙂 What?? Can’t people continue to converse when I am not here? 😉

We are almost done…sadly. Right now in Turkey.
    New Post.
