One BIG Foot!

Maybe we can get LDG to take a jaunt over to the mountains and check this one out for us. You know, when I first saw this story, I thought what better time to bring up conspiracy theories. I have a photographer friend in Sacramento who is all into this stuff (within reason). I even bought him a book about it, just to feed the addiction. Anyway….here is the story: Β A team of Japanese adventurers say they have discovered footprints they believe were made by the legendary yeti said to roam the Himalayan regions of Nepal and Tibet.
“The footprints were about 20 centimetres (eight inches) long and looked like a human’s,” Yoshiteru Takahashi, the leader of the Yeti Project Japan, told AFP in Kathmandu on Monday.
Takahashi was speaking after he returned with his seven-member team from their third attempt to track down the half-man-half-ape, tales of which have gripped the imaginations of Western adventurers and mountaineers for decades.
Despite spending 42 days on Dhaulagiri IV — a 7,661-metre (25,135-foot) peak where they say they have seen traces of yetis in the past — the team failed in their prime objective of capturing one on film.
But Takahashi said the footprints were proof enough.
“Myself and other team members have been coming to the Himalayas for years and we can recognise bear, deer, wolf and snow leopard prints and it was none of those,” he said.
“We remain convinced it is real. The footprints and the stories the local tell make us sure that it is not imaginary,” he added.

OK LDG – give us the scoop – I know you must have all the info on this for us!!!

Adam – did you moderate me yet so I can talk to you all???

  2. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Thanks Adam – My posts are now showing up – Maybe it was my new “mother board” that was moderating me (laughing)

  3. Adam…a yeti?
    *shaking head*
wow……..where’d you dig this up at?

you know….it was Bush that made that print! *WEG* (wicked evil grin)

  4. @KC

Heh, do I look like I work for the Discovery Channel?

These guys are, like many of the “mystery hunters” that are a staple of Japanese Television, have been at it for years and come up with just enough to keep viewers watching the next broadcast. They sure act like they are really trying to catch one, though. I’ll give them that.

Here’s the link to the Japanese website of Yeti Project Japan.
Fair warning: With this story all over the news reports today, the server is slammed and you may get a Service Unavailable message.

  5. LDG..history vs discovery…..hehehe

  6. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

    Knew you would come thru!!!!

  7. That might just be LDG’s foot ;)?

  8. @Avi

naw, mine look more like this:

Have fun Yeti-hunting; I’m out for the day.
((departs, still smiling about this thread))

  9. where is my post?

  10. where is my post? again!

  11. well- since the link won’t go through– here is an excerpt of the article-

    updated 10:43 a.m. MT, Mon., Oct. 20, 2008
More than 1,000 dinosaur footprints along with tail-drag marks have been discovered along the Arizona-Utah border. The incredibly rare concentration of beastly tracks likely belonged to at least four different species of dinosaurs, ranging from youngsters to adults.

The tracks range in length from 1 to 20 inches (2.5 to 51 centimeters).

(I bet these belong to Warren Jeffs)

  12. KS has “tail drag marks”….MINE!

  13. Hey– Palin bags a bigfoot

The stuff one finds on the internet! πŸ™„

  14. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Patty – that was funny – lol

Susan – yep, the things you find on the internet – liked it tho – Talk about multi-tasking – she is good

  15. KC…it was, until i thought of that commercial..i dont remember what the advertisement is…….you know where the mom screams the dogs name..tooobbbbyyyyy…and it shows him……ya well, you get the idea! *LOL*

  16. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

That commercial cracks me up (carpet cleaning ad)—They show that every morning while hubby and I are watching fox news and enjoying our first cup of coffee together before he gets ready to leave for work. We always start laughing, then look at Izabella (our dog) and tell her to not even think about it. Now, I will think of you too!!!

  17. ahhhhhhhhhhhh*LMAO*
    uh, gee, thanks!

  18. and back to the “yeti”……we are going to have to wait a few days for ldg’s link to work.

  19. Here’s my theory: There are supposed to be a number of veitnam veterans living wild in the forests of the united states.
I get hairier when the weather is cold for a while, so if i lived in the forrests and never cut my hair i could look like that after a while.
So what if it’s just a really big husturte veteran?

  20. Good Morning from Ohio,
No sightings of Big Foot here but the day is young. Anything is possible.

  21. Good Morning all,

    Isn’t big foot Joe Biden?

    Oh, never mind………he is foot-in-mouth!

No big foot around here either. In Michigan today….. {{{{ waving }}} to Sylvia in Ohio.

  22. Hi Karen,
Do you think Biden’s latest gaffe will do some damage?…. asking hopefully.

  23. biden = big foot…boy that’s an understatement!

    ‘morning all!

  24. I think Biden’s off the wall remarks are hurting Obama– Plus Senator Brown and his negative remarks towards FOX and O’Reilly did not help those who watch FOX.
I see McCain has the lead in Ohio–

Here is a link as to how the world views the US election–

To get away from politcs, last night, I watched a very interesting documentary about the Korean flight, KAL OO7, which went down in the Cold War. 1983– I had forgotten about this- 296 people died.

    And morning to all!

  25. All,

few odd things new update there….. ( not sure what to think about it…. very =/)

Obama going to HI TH-FRI….. but not right now …. why not today right now??

    Umm fishy….

  26. Susan,
If most of the “world” prefers Obama than that is even more reason for me to choose McCain. Screw the ones who want to make America weak!!!!!

  27. Obama thinks he is King of the World already.

  28. One more thing….our military prefers McCain 68-23. Now we know who is smart as well as brave!!!!!!

  29. Wow Avi–

by the read on the link, Obama is not qualified to run much less be President~

    Sylvia– πŸ˜€

  30. Susan,
What’s your take on Obama going to Hawaii to see his grandmother who has a broken hip? Sound fishy to you?

  31. Sylvia, Biden’s comments should help McCain. But not sure it will.

As for Obama going to Hawaii….I read somewhere today that a petition has been filed for Hawaii to release a true copy of his birth certificate.
So, is that the reason he is traveling to HI or is his grandmother’s health the reason? Just don’t know.

Susan, agree with you. We are electing a leader of the USA not a ruler of the world.

  32. Sylvia—

a broken hip at her age is a major inconvenience but not life threatening unless she has infection– I believe she has a birthday coming up too- Don’t forget Nancy Reagan– she has a broken pelvis– much more serious-

And my and my and my– guess what I got in the mail? Well, before you start guessing, my letter from Superior Court (felonies are taken care of there).. Mr. Martinez, now Hector and not Eduardo, has a preliminary hearing on the 27th at Glendale’s Superior Court @8:30 am.

He is being charged with burg. 2nd degree– Class 3 felony and theft control. (I am sure the felony will be dropped to a Class 6– as long as he doesn’t hit the misdeamonor 1, I don’t care)

His secured appearance bond is $2,700.00 ( Secured bond: Defendant’s release requires cash or collateral (property) be posted with the Court prior to the Defendant’s release from custody.)

He is still in custody- πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ hanging out in Sheriff Joe’s jail, downtown– ouch– not fun there!

Meanwhile, I am sitting here like a cheshire cat!

Interesting– The defendant must submit to DNA testing within five (5) days of release from custody at the aresting agency—

Dear me– now he will be in the database! πŸ˜€

  33. K2—

WOW! Don’t tell me Obama has been lying to us????? πŸ™„

  34. oops– “arresting”— dang these secretarial skills of mine– can’t type and read word by word and type at the same time ~

  35. Obama was born August 4th– a Leo– so is KC, Adam, and moi—

I looked at his birth certificate on the internet–

Here is one off the petition site-

We are demanding that Barack Obama produce a valid paper birth certificate embossed and stamped.

As of 07/26/2008, Barack Obama has not produced a valid paper birth certificate proving that he is a natural born citizen of the United States of America. If he is not a natural born citizen of the United States of America, then his candidacy and possible election to the Presidency of the United States is invalid and fraudulent.

He must prove this to the satisfaction of the American voters.

    the comments are funny!

  36. Well– looks like the post got a repeat there– πŸ˜€

  37. check out– Some gave all and some wear t-shirts-

  38. I didn’t want to email this out to you all– but sent to me by a friend–

  39. KC–

I am going to post your email here– this makes such good sense!

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today. But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you will have received $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called a 401-Keg plan.

I am sooooo glad your computer is running– I have laughed at all your fun emails! Forget vino– back to beer!

  40. Susan, just remember Obama’s words….. Iran is a small country. I will talk to then unconditionally.

His words sound like a fairy tale after reading your link!

Oh, well, i guess we will have a better idea of how our future will look on Nov. 5th or at least we will know the names of all the attorneys hired to file lawsuits and defend lawsuits……… We should start a lottery to guess which state will involve litigation to determine the winner.

    will it be Ohio?
    or, Pennsylvania?
    or, Florida?
    or, Colorado?
    or, Wisconsin?
    or, North Carolina?
    or, Nevada?

  41. I”ll take first dibs on Colorado.
Majority that i’ve seen there are so left . And they have been out of the news, way too quiet. πŸ˜‰

  42. did you know you could look up and see who donated to which candidate?

  43. Do we all get to choose a state? Guess I’ll go with my home state of Ohio. It’s already a mess here.

  44. What I find amazing is that nobody cares about the ties between Obama and socialist groups….and of course Ayers. He wasn’t just someone he barely knew. Why are people (and the media) ignoring this info?????

  45. Here is my input—

No one is perfect– and albeit, some people made some mistakes or erred in their life~ I know I have. And I won’t deny or lie about my life- as you have all figured out here with my posts~ but I am not running for anything which is political nor would I…..

I believe Obama is a intelligent man– He would make an outstanding lawyer but given his surreptitiously lying, I question his integrity.

I am sure he hung out with Ayers– more than just a tea party gathering–
Maybe Obama has some major issues with his background…. OK- I can handle this…. And maybe he was a bit of a radical in his days.., but to continue to lie about it, tells me the man is somewhat of a wimp and this is where I don’t like him.

I want a President to be strong– assertive and in control and Obama does not seem to be of this character.

This is not just about our economy, but the outsiders, in the these very dangerous countries, present a threat, and McCain is more of a no nonsense guy– I just don’t see it in Obama to have the “bolas” to protect us… And for this reason, I have my vote for McCain.

I wonder if Obama is trying to prove a point or if really cares about us all??? Obama’s campaign seems to be based on vague calls.

  46. Duh to me–

    Obama making a good lawyer=surreptitiously lying…. πŸ˜€

  47. that was good Susan. You may give a little more credit than I, bit mostly I agree!
I also do not like the chip on their shoulders. She definite doesn’t give off the “air” of a first lady. Arrogance is not a good thing. They appear to seem so much better than you and me. I don’t like that feeling. It makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck, and sends me packing to elsewhere.
Now, Cindy McCain….i havent heard her talk, just snippets but not enough to have a feel for her. we watched Greta’s last night and Cindy won me over. Such pure class. Down to earth if that is possible as wealthy as she is. Sweet, kind, well poised. She will make a wonderful first lady. And her charities, you can tell when she is around those kids, that comes from the heart. That says leaps and bounds about a person.

  48. K2–

    Your post was great! FUNNY!!!!

The Iran link— pretty scary, huh? Marie sent it to me!

And it doesn’t matter how big or how small the country is, it is the leader behind it!

I will take dibs on North Carolina– Becky and Barb are from there! πŸ˜€

  49. Patty–

I watched Cindy too last night on Greta’s– She is definitely very charming and very loyal!

When she adopted her girl, it was her who made the decision– I think Cindy is a good heart– One can feel it– So is Laura Bush~

The President needs a first lady who is going to have this and I see it in Cindy.

I also think Michelle has it in her but she is probably more focused on winning~

  50. Patty–

I just clicked on your fund link– I never did like Michael Douglas~ Streisand is a neurotic from what her neighbors tell me- πŸ˜€
(I wish they would stop emailing me to tell me to get her out of the neighborhood)—- Lord knows I can only do so much!

    That was a fun link~

Sean Penn was just in Venezuela with our good friend, Hugo— I wish he would move there and just stay out of Hollywood!

  51. Patty:”Arrogance is not a good thing. They appear to seem so much better than you and me. I don’t like that feeling.”

Do you mean they “they appear to seem to think they are so much better than you and me.”?

Because I don’t think the majority of people have a problem with our leaders actually being better than us. Do you really want a President to be a cheating bum? Well another President… I’d rather have a President who has their house in order, even if they had propblems in the past, as long as they have managed to sort them out.
I think the problem is when the person thinks they are so much better, even if they have problems they have never fixed, or even worked to fix. The worst thing is if they seem to look down on people who have not been as fortunate as them, and believe we could never be as good as them. That’s elitism.

The perfect leader in my opinion is someone who is better than us, but looks us in the eye and tries to help lift us up to their level.

  52. It looks like what we say doesn’t matter. Obama is up 52-42 in the Wall Street Journal poll this morning and I think the fat lady is about to sing. Still can’t believe the majority of the people prefer extreme left wing (socialism). Michael Moore wil be very happy.

  53. I will show my stubborn streak here…. just not willing to buy into the polls. I just think back to the polls during the primaries and how they were all off. I wonder about the exit polling data on election night, too.

So, for everyone on the west coast….ignore the polls and vote anyway.

As for the draw to Obama….. Colin Powell used the words to Nuanced Rhetoric to describe Obama as being his choice!!!!!!

I get this mental image of Obama in a meeting like the G-8 and he leaves the room for a bathroom break and everyone looks at each other and says “What was that all about? What did Obama say?”

Not that they need a translator, they need someone to interpret the nuanced rhetoric!

  54. ‘morning everyone.

Max…yes, that is what i meant to say. sorry, was too sleepy to make sense i guess.
They appear to think they are better……..

I like your description, about the house in order. We are supposed to learn from our “downs”, if we do, we are better for it.

Sylvia, I wont give in just yet regardless of polls. People say many things when they are being watched, peer pressure is great right now. Behind that curtain, its a whole nother ball game.

  55. Susan ~ I am with you on choosing my state… it’s definitely going to be interesting the next couple of weeks. In a rally in Charlotte, Obama said that Charlotte and the whole of NC needed to be rebuilt like Iraq was rebuilt… Funny I didn’t realize I lived in a war zone! But people are eating up his bs big time. I will see if I can find that article.

  56. rebuilt? *L* now he tells us AFTER we resided, we could have waited and let the gov’t do that for us too?????? πŸ˜‰

  57. Karen and Patty,
The problem is we are up against a corrupt group (ACORN) and most of the major media are ignoring the warning signs. Media is more concerned about how much money is being spent on Sarah Palin’s clothes and not how much fraud is being committed to help Obama.
Also, FNC is the only media that seems to care about the close ties between terrorist Ayers and Obama. If McCain had close ties with a terrorist do you think the same standard would apply? I think not.

  58. If Obama is taking requests for rebuilding he can get us a new roof. Hurricane Ike hit Cincinnati and blew so many shingles off we need to replace the roof….and roofers are too busy to do the job.

  59. its raining, dreary and cold here. Susan…….warm there?

  60. we lit the stove lastnight susan, had to laugh thinking of all that “popcorn”! Boy, it felt good to have the heat tho!

  61. ohhh. the yeti link works!
now where is ldg to translate the whole thing? *L*

  62. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

    Good morning all

Patty – gonna be 86 here today again. I don’t even remember what rain looks or feels like anymore. Hubby and I again saw that commercial this morning and both just started cracking up – we both said at the same time Paaaaaaattttttyyyyy!!!!!!!

We voted last night, so McCain has at least 2 votes from California.

Susan – stick to wine – it is better for your health (grinning)

  63. ((wave, smile))

    Good ‘morning’, All!

Heh, Patty, you still interested in that yeti (tall-)tale? If you *really* want me to, I’ll go read the site for you. As I recall though, it is mostly the same information that was out in the story our good host cited…

  64. ah, they have a new main page.

The writing at the top says (very paraphrased) “The Yeti Project Team started in 2003. For 5 years we have searched. The 2008 Yeti Team found this as a result.”

Then there is the picture. Note the scale is in centimeters.

Below the picture is a clickthrough to the team weblog on Yahoo Japan.

Below that is a list of sponsors (with some company logos).

  65. LDG…….your funny. I was just trying to find the subject back to the thread, so adam didnt kick us out of here too!!!
But thanks, I really was curious.
Nope, I dont fall for the “bigfeets” stories.

KC……ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! *LOL* there went the m dew all over the screen!!!

  66. FL Sunshine Says:

did they find Elvis? Is that his footprint?

  67. FL Sunshine Says:

Is anyone a lawyer? Can we file a joint action lawsuit (think that’s what they call it) against ACORN and get our tax dollars back that were used to PROMOTE obama?

  68. LDG: Is the photo on this page in CM too? it looks like 17. My feet are almost twice 17cm at 28cm.

  69. Sunshine: Class action

And i think Acorn is legaly split into 3 seperate organizations. The one that endorsed Obama is not the one registering voters. They just share the same name and leadership.

  70. @Max

Yes, the image on the left is the same. The measured size is generously given as 20 cm, about 8 inches, which would be an American size 0 shoe.

The image on right, supposedly for comparison (source unknown) is obviously presented as smaller that any adult foot would actually be. It’s a perception-impression scam sort of presentation.

  71. re: the ACORN split justification

That is what RICO conspiracy charges are for. Fraud by divided front-organizations that share undocumented fund transfers falls under such possible prosecution as well.

  72. Avi’s dad is a attorney!!

  73. Morning—

I just got off the phone with the County Attorney’s office– (Rachel, by the way, whom I spoke with, is voting for McCain)– We had a delightful conversation. Tomorrow is Eduardo aka Hector’s status conference– If he takes the plea, and burgulary is the charge, 2nd degree, I will then be notified~ LOL

Sunshine– your comment is funny!!! Could be Jim Morrison’s foot too? (and it is called a Class Action~ πŸ˜€ )

Patty— very windy today– Which makes me pray CA is not up in flames again.

  74. OOPS– I see Max wrote Class Action– sorry Max! And LDG may not be a lawyer but he should have been~

    What don’t you know, LDG?

  75. So the photo is really a tiny footprint? it could be a child’s]

Well RICO means maybe it is possible then.

  76. If jim morrison had little 6Β½ inch feet them maybe it’s his.

  77. well, you know what they say about big feet!!!!!!

(now you know someone “had” to say it!)

  78. Susan, Adam is back on fire watch, i think the wind already got there. SanBernadino (sp) valley.

ha, thats one place i have been!

  79. Here’s a well written discussion of the why and why-not on the Feds jumping in hard with a RICO investigation:

  80. @Susan

    “What don’t you know…?”

    Hehheh, I’ve answered that before.

Thank you for the kind words, none the less.

  81. Our local elections are getting as nasty as the nat’l. argh. Definitely no fun when you work in gov’t off in small towns, you pretty much can’t say a word!
3 counties have made headlines in the last week, for someone in a dept forwarding a partisan email that someone else found offensive. Right or wrong, cant people just hit delete and not cause problems with someone’s job being at stake?
There are bigger things to worry about! Even a the local level!
I think i brought this up before, we have someone running for commiss. But he’s running out of spite. Long story short, he put a pretty worthless, petty, article on the front page of our local paper that involves 2 employees. Pretty shitty for a small town to stoop that low. From what i’ve heard, he screwed up. No one saw the purpose especially when he was quoted as saying “he had a axe to grind”. He’s definitely lost favor in many eyes around here.

  82. good article, LDG– Clarice did a superb job outlying RICO–

  83. whose talking about my daddy here ? πŸ˜‰ jk

  84. oops– outlining–

    big difference in the definition–

  85. Sunshine is looking for a lawyer– and your dad lives in Florida? Hai

  86. πŸ™‚ *looking over shoulder*…wasn’t me!

  87. @All

I *think* I’ve mentioned this before elsewhere, but just to be sure…

The best, bar-none read for this political season. An oldie, and set in a fictional foreign land, but still insightful after all these years. Ross Thomas’ “The Seersucker Whipsaw”:

no, I’m not posting this link for you to buy it there. I am posting it because there are reviews (scroll down the page).

  88. your thoughts?
The best-funded political campaign in American history says news organizations will have to pay in some cases almost $2,000 each–if they want to cover Barack Obama’s election-night celebration in Chicago.

More redistrubution? *L* You’ve got it…..GIVE IT TO ME!

  89. Patty,
I bet the Obama campaign will charge FNC twice as much since Obama dislikes Fox.

  90. sylvia…or “no admintance” arrows that point to the RIGHT! haha

  91. oh boy…..i gotta remember to look at the spelling once in a while! sorry bout that!

  92. Patty,
Maybe FNC will have to report from the outhouse….no respect from the Obama campaign.

  93. Bill O on the view today is hillarious!!
If you didnt see his flick of it, find the video on line. Its worth it.
    He left them sputtering!
Nice way to end the day…giggling!

  94. Patty,
I saw the tape and it was hilarious. Bill certainly can handle those nasty females on the View.

  95. I just saw some of O’Reilly on The View– I laughed so hard– that man is so clever– I emailed him to tell him how much I enjoyed his comments– wonder if he wil view it? πŸ™„

Jen— are you around? Can’t wait to see your name here again!!! xxxxx

  96. LDG–

I bet you read the book– the reviews pretty much gave a clear picture of what the book is about– Sounds like a good book- I wonder if Walden’s has it? Next time I am there, I will have to ask-

  97. I wish we could correct our mistakes– I see several mistakes I made– burglary I spelled wrong— I left out an “L” out in “will.”

    woe and woe!

  98. Good Morning,
Hope we aren’t being graded on spelling and typing…..I’m lousy at both…. blame it on senior moments. That excuse is very convenient. It’s probably the only good thing about aging. At least I now have an excuse for my ineptness.

  99. Sylvia: Being young i can just say i hadn’t learnt it yet. It’s those in the middle that have nothing to blame ineptness on.

  100. Hi Max,
    Glad we both have excuses.
How are things in your part of the world?

  101. ‘morning.

  102. Things are alright. Cloudy today. Kinda boring.

  103. KS is COLD!
It was 42 when driving to work and still raining. Wish we could send it back to the west where it’s needed.
It would be nice to see the sun again. 3 days without is about all i can take and still be a nice person πŸ˜‰

  104. It’s sunny but cool in Ohio. Suppose to hit 65 so I’m not complaining.
Patty….I bet you’re always a nice person regardless of the weather.

  105. Morning–

Remember Patty- your middle name is Joy so you should be “joyful.” πŸ˜€

  106. Susan,
There’s a thread on GW about the media forcing Sarah Palin to release all her medical records while Obama only had to show a 1 page letter from his doctor saying he is healthy. Greta is demanding equal treatment for females which Sarah isn’t getting. I bet there is a reason Obama doesn’t want all his records released.

  107. Susan, it’s patty ann not patty joy πŸ˜‰

Thanks Sylvia, in all honesty, i do try to be. My daddy raised me that way. Thanks DAD, RIP!

I saw Greta’s article about the CNN interview ***k up. Its SO nice to see Greta stand up and say something! I’m glad to see her do it. She has a lot of pull I’m sure.
I havent give her much credit the last 10 mths or so, since I left there. But I will now, for standing up for what she believes in and not playing along with the trash stuff going on.

Max…did you find a video of Bill O on the view?

  108. Patty,
I still read her threads but haven’t posted because of the name jacking. Montana is trying to get me to start posting there again but I just don’t think I want to join in. Since there is another Sylvia who comments there occasionally I would have to change my name!!!

  109. I read the headlines at Greta’s about once a week. I posted on the cnn story just to say thanks to her. but i wont ever go try to have a conversation there. no patience for the garbage.

  110. oh and i did enjoy her pics of Mrs. McCain, that was a huge plus…dont see them anywhere else.

  111. Romney was in Topeka yesterday for one of our state reps. A private fundraiser….for 2500 i could’ve had my pic taken with him….Yiiipppeee! *L* They must have lost my invite! ha

  112. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

gonna be 87 here today – send us your rain – we surely need it

    Good morning everyone

  113. 87? now i’m really cold! *turning up furnace*

    ‘morning KC

  114. reading today’s paper.
it’s funny (sarcasm) “we” are protecting the man against the very thing he stands for!!

  115. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

I know I will complain later, but I would sure love to be able to put on sweats, socks, and slippers!!!
Still barefoot, in T-shirts, etc around here and really supporting our local gas and electric company. Seems like we have had summer weather since last March. But I guess 87 degrees is better than 112 degrees.

  116. I’ve had my fuzzy slippers out for weeks!
Now I need to dig out my fur lined work sneakers!
I dont like the humid heat, but i think i dislike the cold more. Since they put metal in my back….i get “bone cold” and its miserable.

  117. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

I hate humid heat also- I don’t like to “glow”!!! I kinda like the colder weather because you can always layer up – summer, can’t take to much off without scaring the universe-LOL
I know what you mean about bone cold – it is very miserable, seems like you just can’t find that warm spot so you shiver and shake.

My fuzzy slippers are very dusty from lack of use, and I am very jealous that you are wearing yours!! – Stay warm

  118. I much prefer sandals to boots and fuzzy slippers. Don’t like humidity but dislike snow and ice even more. Winter is not my time of year.

  119. ah heck, dust off the fuzzys…they would go well with jello! *LOL*

  120. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

I would not even know how to live, let alone survive, snow and ice. Never have lived in that type of climate.

Patty – we increased our shares/stock in jello (really laughing out loud)

  121. KC,
You don’t know how much fun you’re missing. Slipping on ice, skidding on the roads, shovelling snow drifts just to get the car out of the garage, having ice storms or huge piles of snow on the roof that leak into the house…..these are a few of my favorite things….NOT

  122. Well, I just got off the phone with Rachel– Hector’s plea is that the takes the Class 6, dropped from the 3, to a 6, which I sort of knew this would be– two and a half years probabtion– but the catch to this- is the $2,700.00 bond would be lowered or if not, just dropped– which means he could be released– but here comes the drum roll– He IS an illegal and if he is to get released, the Sheriff’s office comes into the picture and they would take him to the Immigration office and he WILL be deported– Yay–

I told her I was fine with this plea, as I want him released so he can be deported– She will be calling me back this afternoon to let me know what has happened!!! πŸ˜€

  123. KC–

I don’t think I could live in cold weather– I have arthritis in a few of my fingers and it sure aches when the weather gets cooler!

    Patty Ann– πŸ˜€

Sylvia- do we sing to Julie Andrew’s –these are a few of my favorite things?

I heard about the medical release issue too– And how Palin just bought 150K in clothes– Do I care? Nope– Just 12 more days of this chara! πŸ˜€

Have a good day @ all!!!

  124. Patty: I didn’t see the video og Bill on the View 😦

  125. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Boy, that really sounds like a lot of fun – NOT – Guess Iam thankful for good old sunny California.

Susan – I have a problem with “Arthur” also – My left upper back and my right knee. Knee issue is from falling off a table while dancing!!!
BTW – Is Hector wearing PINK underware??

  126. max..try this..i cant really watch it here at work to see if it is all of it.

  127. Geeze, sitting here listening to a customer, reading…and GRINNING…with a pic of julie andrews in my head, she’s sitting in a bath tub of jello with fuzzy slippers hanging over the end………..a judges gavel in one hand saying “guilty as charged…now give the woman back her lawnmower”!

poor customer has to wonder what im smiling about!!!!

  128. oooops. sorry Adam, i forgot about the 2 links in a post.
KC..a msg will be showing up for you (after its moderated)

  129. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Julie Andrews – what a great visual – You crack me up (laughing)

I am trying to pickle chili peppers, bell peppers, with some carrots thrown in this morning, and every time I want a smoke break, I check in here. Try laughing all morning and not touching your eyes (chili pepper juice on the hands). With this warm weather our bell peppers and all of our various kinds of chili peppers are growing like crazy. Neighbors don’t want to see me any more with my bags full of peppers!! Trying to be Suzie Homemaker!!
Ciggie is done, back to the kitchen – will keep a look out for your msg to me.

  130. KC…ah a woman after my own heart! You and i DO have something in common…in KS we’ll be the ones standing out back of the buidling freezing our tails off smoking! πŸ™‚

    suzie homemaker…haha
my hubby does salsa, he would have begged for a bag of your peppers.
    (try to type that fast!)*L*
We are at the tail end of the tomatoes (finally), he called the neighbors and said…if you want them, come get them. He’s tired of it!

now they gave us buckets and buckets of apples. So we are peeling apples everynight, making applesauce. ya know, its good, about the first 2 batches!

  131. Patty: I’ll check it out.

Check out this interview with an author who says that there is a 99% chance that Bill Ayers ghost wrote Obama’s book.

  132. Adam….you never get to “play” anymore ;-(
    Well, not with us anyway.
And we don’t even ask you to sing! *L*

(for those that don’t have facebook, tamera has pics of a “karaoke adam”)

  133. Max,
I just went to your link and heard the Gibson radio tape about Ayers ghost writing Obama’s book. That is creepy….but not surprising.

  134. Patty,
Am I the only person who doesn’t do facebook? Montana wants me to but I just don’t seem to want to get involved in it. Sounds like it’s time consuming.

  135. Patty: It was just highlights.

Sylvia: I know, and he actually makes sense!

  136. Sylvia: social networks are as time consuming as you allow them to be. If you have an hour you can find stuff to last take an hour on there. But if you go away for a week you don’t have to give extra time to catch up.

  137. sylvia, the only reason i signed up, was i get to stay involved with all the kids that kathy went to school with. Makes me feel better knowing what’s going on in their lives.
But I still feel like a voyeur. Takes some getting used to that’s for sure.
Definitely a sign of changing times.

  138. And i’ve found social networking takes up a lot less time to keep up to date with than blogs or message boards since people don’t keep sending you messages when you’re away, so you don’t fall behind.

  139. Adam has a new post at Fox

  140. For some reason I can’t get on the FNC blog site. It isn’t working for me now.

  141. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

I can’t get it either – just shows a blank page and “done” at the bottom so guess I will try later

Wow – my suzie homemaker project is done!!!!!!

Patty – what is his new post about??

  142. KC,
I thought I had poofed another thing….I seem to have the magic touch.

  143. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

I cannot get any of the blogs on Fox – Janice, Greta, none of them. I guess it only went to Kansas-LOL – so your computer is safe!!

I know Adam had an earthquake-tremor at the LA office, I think, yesterday so maybe they are having another one as I type.

  144. I thought adam just blocked ME!*L*
I couldnt get there either after i posted that.
    its there now.

  145. he’s on the strategy room again this afternoon.
for those that can get it..i can not 😦

  146. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Adam is going a super job on the strategy room

Nice to hear him speak for more than 1 minute – Intelligent man, our Adam is – nice suit and tie also
Tried to post on his other blog, but of course, nothing is posted

    Way to go Adam

  147. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

They need to give you more than 15 minutes – when are you on next?

  148. since we were talking about snow earlier…
this pic is from western ks this morning.

i dont know who, i just ran across it.
they had blizzard conditions yesterday…60+mph winds. blew tractor trailers over on the interstate. one town clocked a 90mph gust.
    yuk yuk yuk

  149. Just got back from a walk…’s 70 and sunny….I don’t even want to see a picture of snow. UGH!!!

  150. wow kc…he actually can talk that long? πŸ™‚

our internet is so slow here that i can hear snippets, but the video just captures a still shot.
I could see him on the tv screen.

Did you feel like “Zeus” Adam? Towering over everyone.

  151. Adam….pat and i wondered…..last night we watch i think jonathan hunt (?) doing a story from the s texas border.
Does it bother you to watch other’s do those stories and not you?
I mean, you’ve gone south so many times, know those people by name…do you feel like its “your” story? and not someone elses to tell?
Just curious cause its so different than our world here I guess.

  152. Here is a real interesting one– about Obama’s campaign funds-

  153. oops– the one post should say– Fidel– October 16th

  154. and this was posted a few weeks ago– I had emailed the article to Marie, who had already seen it as you guys were discussing Ayers ghostwriting –

  155. BTW– Hector did not take the plea– so trial here I come~ And he is still locked up- one week tomorrow- πŸ˜€

  156. repost of my comment on Onthescene re: Nogales, just so our good host has a chance to see it if it fails to clear moderation (again).

    @Adam Housley

I’ll weigh in with the obligatory ‘It’s not about the drugs any more; it is a war for control‘ comment.

Glad you’re the one on this story.
    ((hope this comment posts))

  157. Hope you All are well here, and having a good day.

My belated East Japan weather report: rainy and a high of about 68F. We are fully into the change of the seasons, which is a really pretty time around these parts.

  158. Patty: I can’t see the strategy room live either. The video doesn’t even load for me though.

  159. sent to me-

Here is a creative approach to redistribution of wealth as offered in a local newspaper…

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read β€œVote Obama, I need the money.” I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a β€œObama 08β€³ tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference–just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless g uy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I’ve decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.!!

  160. It’s easy to swallow when it’s being redistributed to you. It’s hard to swallow something that’s been taken away from you.

  161. I agree with Max. Redistribiting the wealth only sounds good when you want a free lunch.

  162. Susan,
I think Hecter will regret not taking the plea. He has no idea of what he is up against……a woman pissed off.

  163. ERmm…… today is going to be ugly today on wall street….. i think i got the wall street flu… i got the real flu… grrrrrrr….. lol

    Btw any notice recent reports:

    Iranian Prez — sick
    Hezbollah chief—- also sick

Is israel up to smth hmmmmm?

  164. Avi–

I heard President Iran has low blood pressure- he might not be able to run next year– Who would be next in line?

Heheheh- to Israel being up to something— not a bad idea!

Sylvia– Hector is trying to avoid the felony charge and deportation– well, wrong! He is on the Obama’s philosophy of distrubiton of wealth— steal from someone to sell and make a profit. πŸ˜€

  165. Susan,
Looks like you’ll need to teach Hector a lesson on economics. Redistributiion is not the American way.

  166. redistribution is not he American way…YET!

    ‘morning all.

  167. yikes, that not starting off very good. Already typos!

    *THE* American way.

  168. @All

  169. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Good morning all and HAPPY FRIDAY

  170. @Adam Housley

just an FYI, that comment at Onthescene I referred to here 23.Oct 6:43pm did not show up over there.

    curiouser and curiouser

  171. Sylvia–

I just got off the phone– again– Hector will remain in custody until trial- Since he didn’t take the plea, the Class 3 Felony will be applied– it doesn’t matter because after trial, he will be released to the INS and he will be deported. End of that story–

Adam— why are some of the posts not posting on your news blog? LDG IS TRYING SO HARD TO POST!!!!

Patty – I see my typos as well– distribution– grr!!!!!

KC– Happy Friday to you too– and headed out to take Ken to the gym– it was shower day for the both of us– πŸ˜€

  172. for LDG–

Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English).

  173. And to Max–

you have a good day as well! xxxx

  174. I knew it! I just knew it!
LDG really is the cheshire cat!!!

can’t ya’ll see him grinning that grin!!!???

  175. @Susan

Bless you, yes that is the full meaning!

Have a great day out at the gym, and thanks for putting in for me with our good host here.

  176. @Patty

Hehhehheh, I have a terrible grin. That one would be much better!

  177. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Yep – I see LDG in that grin!!! Adorable

BTW – hubby and I were discussing you last evening while gulping (oops, I mean sipping) our wine. I told him about the apples the neighbor gave you. He said you should bake a bunch of apple pies, take them to work, sell them to the public and become rich and famous – “PatNPat’s Homemade Apple Pies.

Well, after a few more glasses of wine, he raised his arm, saying oh oh oh, wait, she can’t do that – she will make to much money, obummer will stop by, tax her a bunch, and then take her hard earned money and redistribute it.

Moral of the story – stick to the applesauce and share with the grandkids!!!

    Love my wine

  178. *LMAOROF*!!!!!
    Oh KC, you are PRICELESS!!!

  179. obviously everything looks/tastes good with wine……cause a domestic goddess…i am not! πŸ˜‰

  180. Susan and KC

    Great redistribution stuff.

  181. Patty: making apple pie is fun! I’ve not made a pie in ages though.
I want to make a mince meat pie, with actual mice meat included!

Though if you made burgers you could call them “Pat & Patty’s home made patties”….

    Susan: have fun pumping iron.

Avi: If it is Israel making them ill we will likely never know.

  182. Max…i could send you the mice! *L* (that really is gross!)
kitty here at the shop had one yesterday as matter of fact, but it was actualy a shrew.
YUK YUK,,,thats when i sit on the counter!

when the kids were little i did all the pie, bread, noodles etc…everything was homemade. But not anymore. I did make apple crisp a couple weeks ago, hubby wants another pan full this weekend.
Normally we don’t have the snacky stuff around. If its not there we dont eat it. Popcorn is our downfall. Could eat it everynight. But…neither one of us needs that whole stick of butter on top of it!

  183. max..i have to steal one of Jen S’s lines….
    that would be “crabby patties”!!!

  184. Patty,
Was that you who posted the military polls on GW? Very interesting polls.

  185. nope, not me sylvia.
    I’ve actually “worked” today!

  186. Oops!!! miNce meat…

  187. *L* @ Max!
    i wondered!

Everyone have a great weekend if I dont see you around here.
Me and a grandson have some serious xbox time coming πŸ˜‰

  188. Its a good day LDG…you made it to “on the scene”!!

  189. heheheh!! KC and I are known as Bacchus–

I just got invited to Tina Turner’s concert- for tonight– can’t go because it was such a short notice and I need a babysitter for Ken– dang!! Oh well-

LDG— I love Alice! I love the White Queen’s comment to Alice–“It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards”… heheheh! And you of course, would understand the underlying politics in the writings…

  190. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Shouldn’t that be “goddess” – we certainly are that aren’t we!!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week-end. You all know my routine, so see all of you Monday.

  191. Oh Gosh. the Jennifer Hudson story is terrible.
*shaking head* makes me feel ill ;-(

  192. KC–

Don’t slip on the jello! xxxxx We are the Bacchus Goddesses!

Yes, Patty– the Hudson story is awful–

Adam has a new thread and I just watched a video on a lecture about “nukes” on one of the related links– wow- it was interesting–

  193. “…the patron deity of agriculture”…you two are farmers? *L*

  194. susan…remind me to point these back out to KC on monday when she comes back. I just noticed that Adam let them through. Thanks ADAM!

    Patty Says:
    October 23, 2008 at 8:24 am

  195. YAY! My Onthescene comment posted!

    @Adam Housley

    Thank you kindly!

  196. Patty: maybe i could try doormouse, but it seems hard to get now.

  197. Good Morning All,
Am trying to type while drinking strong (much needed) coffee. Hope your weekend is relaxing.

  198. morning– and here is a chuckle for the day– Chavez’s mouth is flapping again-

  199. Patty-

Bacchus may refer to: Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and intoxication…

  200. susan…yuk…those photos are scary!

    Max.. πŸ˜‰ yuk!

g’afternoon everyone. Hope all is well!

  201. Good Morning from Ohio.
Since Ohio State lost last night to Penn State it isn’t the happiest of weekends here. But it’s only a game (a big game, an important game) and life goes on.
I do hope I won’t have to say it’s only an election (a big election, an important election) and life goes on.
And how is your weekend going?

  202. morning–

Patty– yes, those pictures are scary and these people exist– actually, I was looking at the pervert’s mug shot, Tony Alamo, who was arrested in Flagstaff just recently– another Warren Jeff type– disgusting!

Just a few days from election– I can’t wait– I am so sick of listening to the politics– My brother mailed in his votes yesterday, and he voted for McCain- And of course you all heard some of Obama’s people were registering in Ohio and they are not from Ohio– I have never seen so much cheating going on- I wonder what the history books will say– Election 2008- The Politics on Cheating and Media Mudslinging…

Weather is beautiful at this moment– by afternoon, it will be hot again! LOL

  203. Here is the joke for the day-

Q: How many politicians does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Two. One to assure the public that everything possible is being done while the other screws it into a water faucet

  204. Susan,
Good joke…..unfortunately true. And we the tax payers are the ones getting hosed (you can choose another word for hosed).

  205. Good Sunday to all.

Back in Minnesota and it snowed this morning! It melted as soon as it hit the ground, thankfully. But, it isn’t even November! So much for Gorebal Warming….

  206. ALL,

all you of you might now what just happend U.S. BOMBED SYRIA…

    here… hoping nothing happens….. 😦

  207. The attack was on a Syrian town on the Iraqi border. It’s an area where ammo and stuff gets sent to Iraq to aid insurgency.

  208. Patty: the romans enjoyed their doormice…

  209. you are the one that “left the north door open”!
burrrrrr Its is so windy here, prob 45 mph+ and getting colder by the minute. Supposed to be 28 tonight. We had to go bungy the patio furniture to the porch…chairs were out in the yard. Havent had them blow off before.

    Avi…stay safe!

  210. FL Sunshine Says:

Karen 2 – Gorebal warming….ROFLOL!!!! my teenager got a kick out of it too. (he can use that one at school).
I got a McCain sticker in the mail and he stuck it on her binder. πŸ™‚ His high school will be holding a mock election next week. I’ll post the results. my prediction: Obama wins….misguided, uneducated kids. lol

  211. FL Sunshine Says:

Avi – you should ask your dad about the law suit. πŸ™‚

  212. FL…Topeka school district is up in arms here. Teacher wore Obambam tshirt to work. School told her she had 3 choice…turn it inside out, take it off, go home and change after the fact i Guess the parents were a little upset.
School board now has a new employee policy. No political t-shirts.

  213. click on my name and check out the entire interview (or at least all they posted) of our local ABC news anchor Barbara West interview Biden. You may have seen some of it on FOX. I saw it first on F&F this morning. She nailed him with some tuff answers and his response was “are you kidding? is that a real question”. lol would have loved to see Obama squirm out of that one.

  214. Patty – good for the school. I wouldn’t want a teacher standing in my kid’s class wearing an Obama shirt. Now if she/he had a McCain on…… JK

  215. Susan – I can’t wait until this election is over either!!!! It’s been a busy election season (knocking on doors, holding up signs on the side of the road, holding signs at the primary and will again) for my brother who is running for county commissioner here.
As for the Presidential election: Have some friends voting for Obama. They have all bought into the “Change”. Some said they are afraid McCain may die in office (haven’t I seen this on an ad) and Palin isn’t qualified to be Prez. I said “she’s better qualified than Obama. Their argument: Well, he has been in the Senate and knows more about international affairs and she’s JUST a governor. What????

  216. Fl…has ACORN caused any problems there? Ohio has a lot of fraud going on with the vote. A real mess ….unless you’re an Obama fan…then it’s a blessing.

  217. Patty,
Are you sending that cold wind here? It’s suppose to get windy and cold tomorrow. I’m hoping the weather report is wrong. I don’t do cold weather.

  218. Sylvia – regarding ACORN: they have been active in FL but I haven’t heard as much news about them here as what they did in Ohio.
Regarding the weather: move to FL!!! πŸ™‚

  219. does Adam stop by here often? lol

  220. I beat NO ONE can beat this: We have someone in our neighborhood who 2 weeks ago put up 12 of those blow up Christmas lawn things. One of them even plays Christmas songs. Thank goodness he does NOT live right next to us. What the heck is he thinking???? My boys came in the house the other day to report: he is mowing around them in his yard. Can you imagine what that’s going to look like in another couple weeks? There are some rednecks in this area so I wouldn’t be surprised if some kids don’t unload some pellets in them one night. lol

  221. FL….some of the stores at the mall have been decorated for Christmas for a couple of weeks now. They used to wait until after Halloween.

  222. but at least I don’t have to see it from my front yard! lol
No offense to anyone but I don’t care so much for those big blow up lawn things. lol

  223. I think I would rather see those big blow up lawn things than the Obama signs in my neighborhood!!!!

  224. great point. me too

  225. Fl…Adam who???

I dont care so much for the yard thingy’s either! Daughters neighbor used to do that, about 5 of them..on a small corner lot. Looked like a isle at Walmart!
    Isnt one enough?

Im a scrooge, so lil xmas decorations here. thinking the new posts on the front porch need garland. But not until AFTER thanksgiving!

  226. isnt obambam things in the yard the “same”?
big blow up lawn things …full of hot air πŸ˜‰

  227. Patty and all– but Patty who loves the feel good stories– this was on FOX so I looked it up on the internet–

It is about a terrier in Australia who refused to leave the kittens went the house went ablaze– and everyone is alive and lived Happily Ever After== this is get the kleenex out–

  228. Susan,
Glad it had a happy ending.
You are right about the hot air. Wish I could deflat someone’s bubble. I hate arrogance.

  229. but then I found this one== Taliban killed returned refugees rejected by Australia— of course Australia is denying this-,21985,24556999-662,00.html

FOX also mentioned in their brief news segment– twitter is being used as a terrorist tool—

Plus 150 million dollars of cocaine was stopped in Colombia and guess where it was headed– Mexico!~ and while looking for this news, I came across this one I had missed– from October 23rd-

The U.S. is suspending a trade deal with Bolivia, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Thursday. She called it unfortunate but necessary because Bolivian President Evo Morales has failed to improve anti-drug efforts.

(I feel like Brad now posting all these news stories– :D) but you know how my interest on what goes on in Mexico and South America is personal to me-

I like to know about the news outside of the 24/7 on politics!!!

  230. You and me both sylvia!

    Susan…what a cool story!

  231. and this one is for LDG– (which I should wander over to your site in a few to see if this one was posted)

Lizcano is now a free man after 8 years of being held captive by guess who? Fleed from the jungle– yay!!!!! By the sounds of this story, he would not have lived much longer or at least a few more years– this is a feel good story too!!

Avi– Iran President is out and about again– he was dehydrated while he was in intensive care and it was said it was work related– He needs to work himself to death– πŸ˜€

  232. Made me cry Patty– especially when they showed Leo licking the kittens- waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

  233. susan …you would never survive on the farm! πŸ™‚

  234. im off to bed. rest well everyone. see you in the morning, God willing!

  235. @Avi, and others interested

Somebody asked about the raid into Syria. Here’s a workup on it from Long War Journal:

Saw that, yes good news and bravo Colombian Army.

Looked for you over at CompHyp, but no Susan was there to be found πŸ˜›
Hope your cat-catching rescue(s) went well.

See you (briefly) come the A.M. Busy couple of days right now.
    ((wave; smile; departs))

  236. Hello Everyone!
Sorry I haven’t been on as much as before. I’ve been sleeping more at night, so not been on at the same time as most of you.
    How has everyone been?

  237. Patty-

Pray tell why I would not survive on a farm? I survived Bolivia, (Che Guevara’s days), got hepattis in La Paz as a six year old, with huge needles going into my arm, and lived through Mexico City, Bogota, Baranquilla, Cartagena, Puerto Vallarta, Puebla, and now El Mirage– I think I can handle anything. πŸ˜€ A farm sounds like nice to me!

Notice all– LDG used an emoticon! There is a first for all!

  238. I know I couldn’t survive on a farm…..especially when it comes to animals. I am a softie with animals……and yes, I do eat meat but none that I have met in person.

  239. ‘morning all.

    *pointing* ^ LGD SMILED! ha

Susan…Sylvia understood the “survival”…animals die. Whether for market or cause the dog didn’t like a particular kitty, or cause the stupid one crossed the highway at the wrong time.
Your answer was hilarious tho!!! Smart #ss!

  240. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

    Good morning everyone

Happy Monday – gonna be 86 degrees AGAIN today. Still waiting for autumn around here

  241. KC…’morning.
if you scroll back up, those links i posted the other day for you are there.

your 86 degrees…and our birdbaths are frozen this morning!
    I would share! ha ha

  242. anyone else get the feeling adam doesn’t like us anymore?
or an i just being paranoid?

Im off to the couch….played hookie today out of necessity.
Just got back from getting shots for a migraine, i better take advantage of them while i can.
    See ya all after bit.

  243. Morning–

    Patty–your comeback was even funnier! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

And I hope the migraine goes away– ouch! Ken’s sister gets them all the time too-

Let’s see what kind of trouble I can get into today- LOL

  244. Greta has a good story on her blog about Obama’s campaign lawyer trying to intimidate student journalists.

on one of the comments, there is a story about the ant and the grasshopper– modern version– pretty good-

  245. KC: i’m still waiting for summer, we didn’t get one here this year. πŸ™‚

  246. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

You can come visit here. We have had hot and warm weather since last March or April. Of course 86 degrees beats the heck out of 112 degrees. At least we are not having the humitity right now, so it is comfortable.

Where did your summer go this year??? You mean to tell me you have had yucky weather ALL year?? That has got to be a bummer.

By the way, how did you like Casper – hear that is a way cool place to be. Lots of stuff to do

  247. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Really sorry to hear about your migraine – can really relate to those *&#*&#. Hope it goes away real soon and you are back to yourself.

Saw your slideshows and NO THANK YOU!!!! Looks mighty miserable to me- I know I would never survive. How did that truck survive with the tree on top of it???

On a warmer note, our little “victory garden” is really going strong. Noticed this morning I’ve got tomatoes growing again. I thought they were through – haven’t seen a tomato in forever. Now I count 10 of them out there. I guess everyone is very happy with this warm weather and have decided to keep producing. My herbs have really grown also. Will lose the basil after our first freeze (whenever) that will be, but the rest should survive the winter.

Hope you feel better soon – take care

  248. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

I also saw that blurb on Fox page regarding Twitter and Terrorists. Wonder what Adam thinks about it. Maybe, I better take it out of my favorites!!!

  249. KC: I loved Casper, we got a taste of summer while there, πŸ˜€
I can’t wait to go back. Lots of outdoors type things i can do there.

Yes, we’ve had a few nice days, but they are few and far between. Most of the days have been cloudy or rainy.

  250. I see nobody likes the weather they are having. Add me to the list today since it is dreary and cold. Suppose to warm up to 60’s on Friday…just in time for trick or treat.

  251. ((pounds keyboard))

curse you for turning my perfectly good ((silly grin)) into a yellow blob lacking in style or manner!

a belated good ‘morning’ to All.

  252. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

LDG – you all having a good day – lol – cursing so early in the day – my my

a belated good morning to you also

  253. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Sorry to hear you are having another yucky day and hopefully, it will turn nice for your trick or treaters

How is that big ole mess with the voters registrators coming along. Think it will be taken care of before voting day??? I can just imagine what a legal mess all of this is going to become the day AFTER elections.

  254. @KC

In all truth, it was a very good day actually. Didn’t even mind the autumn rain.

  255. KC - Fresno, Ca. Says:

Autumn rain huh – rub it in my friend. We don’t even remember what rain looks or feels like around here. Dry, Dry, Dry

BTW – did you get your symbol tree planted and if so, are the leaves turning??

  256. all,

is this only happing with me .. but it seems everytime i question an Obama supporter for their reasons they support him … they accuse me of racism and all that stuff… when people write on facebook ” Obama 08′” i question why? and they go crazy….

I have not meet one obama supporter who does not go bananas on me when i question their candidate ….

  257. @KC

re: symbol tree — oh I wish. so no, not yet. The cost factor is pretty rough if we were to transplant a grown tree of any size, so we are waiting until a more suitable season (very early spring?) to plant a more modest one.

I did get to see two absolutely stunning maple trees over at a nearby farm last friday, and they had just a hint of color change. My envy of the owners knows no bounds ((grin))

  258. KC,
It’s a mess here. The voter fraud is still ongoing. More dirt keeps coming up thanks to college kids who are digging for it. The election is tainted.

  259. @Avi

Nope, I doubt it is something you do. Sounds pretty par for the course right now.

  260. @All

right then… daylight threatens and that yelling you hear in the background is my pillow calling me.

    Be well and safe

  261. LDG: isn’t it actually a really early good morning to us, rather than a belated one?

  262. did anyone just see the Megan Kelly and Obama Spokesperson interview…..he lambasted and threw BS at her just like ObAMA PPL do at me…..

grrrrr….. i GETTING REALLY ANNOYED WITH ObAMAS people thinking only their policy is ok and everything else is bad.

  263. Avi–

Yes I did– and also he got blasted on Cavuto’s— I laughed so hard because he could not back up his stupid arguments– Cavuto kept telling him to listen and shut up~

And you heard about the skinheads plotting to assasinate Obama? these politics are scary now!

  264. Is GHADIYA alive or dead?

  265. Hi Max-

  266. Susan,
Do you feel we are living in the Twilight Zone with this election? I can’t believe this is America..

  267. Adam Housley Says:

I am excited to see everyone stay in touch and I DO skim through and read the posts. It is just been a bit tough lately to stop and leave a comment. We are working on a ton of stuff behind the scenes as the elction finally winds down. So….thanks everyone for hanging around, we need to find some of the other old folks (not age….just blogging) to come on back. ALSO….you gotta go and leave a message once in a while on my Fox News site. in case you forgot!

  268. Sylvia–

  269. Someone sent this to my brother– his name is Earl Hanson– finally- humor!

My brother voted for McCain– mailed in his vote and his friend is voting for Obama-

  270. Avi..I agree with you. It seems like no one can have a civilized conversation when politics is involved anymore. My hubby says its scary….will riots break out all over the country next week?? It sure appears that we have become that “uncivilized”!

  271. Has anyone seen the Bill Curtis commercials– He finds the internet?

Well, on one of his commercials, he also found Big Foot– πŸ˜€

  272. AW @#$%^$#!

DO NOT CLICK CNNBC video feeds. The are an unsourcable video feed,

    @Adam Housley

do get that post at 6:40 am deleted and struck from referals, please!

  273. You beat me to it–thanks LDG!

  274. actually it is a website paid by

well chara– so much for humor!

  275. Oh Sylvia, i feel for you. I know how much this voter fraud bothers you and yet another headline…park benches. Yikes!

  276. Susan- AZ Says:

Is Big Foot running for President? I think I will vote for him–
